Real foundations. A fantasy future.
NPL Manager is an independent franchise game for cricket fans, based on a researched 2024 historical snapshot.
Verified historical facts
- All eight NPL franchise names and their 2024 marquee players.
- 80 reported domestic auction records from 6 October 2024, in NPR. Conflicting prices and one lower-confidence record carry explicit notes. The archive remains unchanged by gameplay.
- A curated set of 32 real overseas players reported as NPL signings in 2024. This is not a complete final roster or a current 2026 squad list.
- The 2024 domestic auction purse was NPR 90 lakh per team—not the NPR 2 crore used in this game.
Simulated gameplay data
- NPR 2 crore domestic and NPR 5 crore overseas budgets are custom game rules. Retentions consume the domestic budget.
- Player roles are simplified gameplay classifications. Ratings, training effects, bidding and agent fees are game-generated.
- Sponsor brands, negotiations, gate income, travel costs and all match results are fictional.
- Fixtures are generated round-robin pairings, not the real 2024 calendar. Overseas availability is simplified for the game.

How the game works
How do I start with another franchise?
Open Save & settings, choose any of the eight teams and begin a new career. This replaces the active career; export or save your current one first.
How do recruitment budgets work?
The domestic budget starts at NPR 2 crore. Your 10 domestic retentions use the historical auction amounts and the marquee player costs a fictional NPR 20 lakh. The overseas budget starts at NPR 5 crore with no overseas players signed. Signing fees reduce both the relevant budget and cash. Releases are not refunded.
What makes a valid playing XI?
Select exactly 11 players including your captain, a wicketkeeper and at least five players with bowling skill 60 or higher. The XI may contain at most four overseas players. Reorder your XI to change batting order. Your squad can hold up to 20 players.
How realistic is the match engine?
Every innings has up to 120 legal balls with wickets, wides, strike rotation, boundaries and target chasing. Five bowling options deliver up to four overs each. Ratings, tactics and pitch influence scoring probabilities. Ties use six-ball, two-wicket super overs influenced by the same player skills and tactics. A tied super over is repeated until there is a winner; this is not an official score prediction.
Where is my career saved?
Save writes the entire career to the app’s built-in key-value store. Your save ID is kept on this device and the career is restored when the app starts; you can also reload manually. Copy that ID to load on another device or export a JSON backup. Saves are anonymous shared-key records: anyone with the ID can load or overwrite the career, so do not store personal or sensitive information.
Are these the latest player squads?
No. This version deliberately uses a 2024 historical snapshot. Overseas entries include selected signings and replacements reported during that season, not a claim that every listed player was simultaneously available. The archive records have spelling variants across news sources; categories are omitted because publishers differ. Conflicting reported prices for Arniko Yadav and Amit Shrestha are flagged beside their records. Bhoj Raj Bhatta’s reported auction amount is flagged as lower-confidence because several major auction summaries omit him.
